Tania Tsiridou
Special Educational Personnel, Department of Audio and Visual Arts (Ionian University)

Dr. Tsiridou has studied Sociology at the Koln University, and holds a MA in Digital Art Forms from the Athens School of Fine Arts. She completed her Ph.D. at the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University (her thesis was entitled “The Wind Landscape: Unpredictability, Representation and Digital Art in the case of the Wind”). Her field is Multimedia and Audiovisual Arts. Her research interests are Interactive Audiovisual Artworks, Internet Art and Hybrid Art Forms. She has participated in a variety of exhibitions, shows and festivals pertaining to video art, internet art and immersive projections. Along with her research and teaching activity in the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, she has taught seminars and workshops concerning video editing, recording and documentary filmmaking within the framework of various festivals and other events across Greece.

Roles in the program:

  • Scientific Coordinator of the Moving Image C:hub
  • Research and development of multimedia-audiovisual artworks and applications with an emphasis on moving image, more specifically digital video
  • Overall management of digital video media
  • Co-writer of papers and presentations, in collaboration with other members of the research team.
