Dr. Loufopoulos is a graduate of the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University. He holds a Ph.D. degree from London’s City University. His field is Sound Design Applied on Sound Art. His research interests are Electroacoustic Music, Soundscapes - natural environment Sound Installations, Sound Design for digital audiovisual media - immersion environments. As a postdoctoral researcher, he has contributed to National research projects pertaining to the environment, sound art, environmental education, the interplay between sound and image and new media applications development. He is active as a musician, music producer and arranger. He is a founding member of the Hellenic Electroacoustic Music Composers Associations and of the Hellenic Society for Acoustic Ecology.
