Andreas Giannakoulopoulos
Professor, Department of Audio and Visual Arts, Ionian University

Professor Andreas Giannakoulopoulos holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Mass Media and Communication of the University of Athens. His field of expertise is Internet Communication (New Media). His current research interests are Information Architecture, Web Science and Technologies, Digital Economy, Semantic Web, Web Usability and Accessibility, Human-Machine Communication. Along with his participation in a variety of national and international research programmes, Dr. Giannakoulopoulos has had a long professional experience in the media and advertising sectors. In recent years, he has been specializing in Computer Mediated Communication, more particularly in the field of web application development.

  • Research Program Co-Supervisor
  • Head of the Creative Concept C:Hub
  • Supervision and edition of ideas and projects that are at the cutting edge of the technological developments within the creative industries
  • Consulting, monitoring and enhancing
  • Co-writer of papers and conference presentations in collaboration with other members of the research team.
